Sam Wadsworth is a contemporary British Painter and Sculptor.

He had an instructive relationship with the painter Terry Raybould (tutor at Camberwell 

School of Art 1963-1975), which began when they taught together 2004-2007.

He also has a degree in Fine Art from Northampton University and later studied at the Prince's Drawing School, London.

Sam’s work has always been aligned with figuration, both abstract and observed, with a strong emphasis on line and colour.   He began his career as a portrait painter,  which he still maintains on a selective basis and which ran alongside his daily observational painting and line drawing.  These drawings have now developed into wall mounted, coloured line sculptures, made from wood and hand painted in his studio. 

Voted  Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the FSB for his portrait painting, Sam has won a 

number of prizes and awards for his paintings, which include portraits of CEO's of multinational 

companies, prominent actors, leading international sports stars and Knights of the Realm

 and has work in collections around the world.

Sam was the Chairman of  The Painters' Fine Art Society, London, from 2018-2019 and was on the curatorial and judging panel for the Lynn-Painter Stainers Art Prize 2016 - 2019

He is represented by the Fine Art Commissions Gallery, London, King and Mcgaw,

The Russell Gallery, London, The Electric Gallery, London and is a member of the Penwith Art Society,  St Ives and the Stinsford Group, Dorset.

In 2020 Sam founded the Juice Gallery, which runs as a collective of artists and Contemporary Art Gallery
